KwikFit Breakdown Cover Review
Driving you car on the road is a one of a kind experience. Not only is driving an enjoyable experience but it also involves a lot of skills. It involves the understanding of vehicle dynamics, proper hand placement and seating position, steering and braking techniques, evasive maneuvering, and making good decisions about road factors such as traffic and road conditions. No matter how great a driver might become, nothing could ever spare him/her from roadside car breakdowns.
Imagine going to a concert, or to a camping trip, or even to your children’s recital and never reach there because of an unfortunate car breakdown. With all these unfortunate events there are always some quick fixes and that is where Kwikfit Breakdown cover comes in. Kwik Fit was established in 1971 initially as a car servicing and repairs company. Through increased customer demand they extended into the Insurance market in 1995 and have grown to be one of the UK’s leading car insurance providers. Under their financial wing they now offer Breakdown Recovery at competitive prices. They have extended their services from car service to several types of vehicles like vans and motorbikes. Kwikfit offers four different types of covers to choose from.
The first type is the Kwik Assist Roadside cover which costs £18.95. This service includes 24-hour UK cover for a year and roadside assistance and local vehicle recovery. Over 5000 trained and competent mechanics are always on standby for your assistance and they assure an attendance to your vehicle with in 40 minutes. If that is not good enough, £10 is awarded if attendant is later than an hour.
The second type of cover is the Kwik Assist Roadside Plus from £25.45. This plan offers the same assistance as the first one with addition to vehicle recovery to intended destination and overnight accomodation. The third cover is called the Kwik Assist Recovery which costs around £32.90. it still offers the same cover as the first one but with additional homestart service.
Lastly they have the Kwik Assist Recovery Plus from £58.45. This is the most expensive of all the cover since it features the same service as the first one but this plan would provide you services all over Europe. With all these services available Kwikfit also has a personal cover which would cost at £17.25. This plan is very ideal to those people with multiple cars as this would entitle the policy holder in any car with Kwik Assist Roadside or Recovery.
Kwikfit breakdown cover offers great prices and services as well. The only annoying thing about the company are all the questions that they have to ask you before they render assistance. It is not a bad thing because all the questions are related to your car but if you are caught in a bad mood, the questions may not be very helpful. Like any other breakdown covers, Kwikfit sometimes do not arrive to the specified time that they promise. Sometimes they arrive hours after you call which would make you wait even longer. It is always better to make the calls specific and be patient while waiting. Overall, people seem to like the Kwikfit service. It just depends mostly on the situation that the driver is in and the extent to which the damage of the car is done.
